Guildmistress: As you know we recently held our annual colligium. The whole day was absolutely wonderful and I would like to take the time to thank those involved in making it all come together. I would first like to thank The Barony of Dragonship Haven for their wonderful hospitality! You all went out of your way to be sure we had everything we needed . The dayboard was fantastic ! The kitchen staff all did a fabulous job in making sure we were well fed with extremely tasty and well prepared food. The classrooms were all large and well lit and were perfect for our needs. We really could not have asked for more in a site. I would especially like to thank Lady Renye Wurm. She was not only the Autocrat for the event, but she was also the person in charge of the delicious dayboard. I would next like to thank the teachers. The were; Lady Johanna Lemercer Lady Hedewigis Ockenfüß Lady Nest verch Tangwistel Baroness Viennet de la Mer Mistress Ygraine of Kellswood Lady Gwenhwyfar of Ravenhill Lady Briony of Chatham Mistress Mathilde Eschenbach Mistress Beth Tallbot I would especially like to thank Mistress Katherine Gilliesfleur. Not only did she teach two classes that were pre planned, but she filled in for a teacher who could not make it due to an illness and taught an additional class on pattern darning. A heart felt thank you to goes out to all of you. The day was wonderful and could not have happened without all of your help! I look forward to our colligium next year! Guildmistress: At Balfar's Challenge several of us went through the box of award medallions and took count of what was in there. In a nutshell there are enough Maunche , SC, OTC, Laurel, and Pelican medallions to last at least the next five years. It has been the trend lately to pass on a "legacy medallion" or a friend of the recipient makes the medallion for each of these awards and the Royals have not used much from the stash for quite some time now. What they are in terrible need for is Burden Tygers and Tyger Cubs.I believe there were only 3 BT and 2 TC medallions left in the stash, so they are most definitely in dire need of them and would appreciate any that are given to them. They will also most likely be needing QOC gloves in the future as well. If you would like to make medallions for at least the next year, please only stick to the Burden Tygers, Tyger Cubs, and QOCs. The workmanship on some of the order medallions was just lovely and it is sad to see so much work going into something that may not be used. Please feel free to pass this message along to other lists if you wish. Mistress Cellach |

Chronicler: As those in attendance know, our Collegium last week was a wonderful event! The classes were excellent, the food delightful (I still want the onion soup recipe), and we even got to be a Royal Progress, thanks to the the attendance of Her Majesty, Queen Brenwen. On behalf of all, let me thank the wonderful event and kitchen staff, and all the teachers who made it such an enjoyable day! |
